Manchiryala Collectorate, December 19 (Andhra Jyoti): National Disaster Management Agency officer Sudhir Bal said that all arrangements should be made to respond immediately during natural calamities. A meeting was held with the collector and officials through video conference from Hyderabad on Friday. He said that the National Disaster Management Agency and the State Disaster Management Agency should take measures to prevent fire accidents in industries and public protection during natural disasters in coordination with all departments. Officers should be aware of the COP system and emergency management centers. During rains, measures should be taken to warn the people in the flood affected areas first and move them to safer places. Collectors should immediately identify the disaster affected areas under their jurisdiction and have a systematic management process. Necessary arrangements have been made to conduct mock drill in all districts on 22nd of this month. District Collector Kumar Deepak from Chennur Mandal Tehsildar's Office was present and spoke. He said that measures are being taken in coordination with the concerned departments to protect people during natural calamities. Additional Collector Chandraiah and officials of respective departments participated in the program.
